appointments
 

All patients are required to make an appointment unless it is an emergency (Standard and long appointments are available). Please call the receptionist on 3369 5133.

Prior consideration for the required length of your consultation will prevent delays. Please advise reception if a longer consultation may be required. Reception staff will need to know if you are coming for a medical or procedure to ensure you are allocated the correct time.

 
 
Your Information
 
It is vital we have the correct information on your file. Please notify us as soon as you have changed any of your contact details. To ensure we have correct details the reception staff will ask you to check your details before leaving. This will be done most visits.
 
 
Results
 
To ensure we comply with the privacy legislation we do not give out results over the phone. The doctor will inform you when you should return for the results of investigations.

Occasionally we will send the results to you (some routine pap smears and regular blood tests). If the doctor has told you they will send the result to you it should be received within 2 weeks. If you have not received this letter please call the reception staff.

 
Fees:
 

This is not a bulk billing practice. Payment is required on the day of consultation and can be made by cheque, credit card or eftpos. An ATM is also located on the ground floor. Concessions may apply in some situations. Department of Veteran’s Affairs patients are bulk billed.

Please contact our reception staff for any information regarding our fees.

 
 

Once you spend a certain amount (threshold) on medical services you may be entitled to a larger rebate from Medicare. When you submit your accounts to Medicare they will track the amounts and you may be eligible for the Medicare safety net.

It is advisable for all patients to register for the safety net please call Medicare 132011.

 
 
Repeat Prescriptions Without a Consultation
 

The doctors may write a repeat prescription without a consultation for a fee. It is important to note that this can only be done in certain situations, please refer to reception.

 
 
Recalls and reminders
 
Milton Clinic has a recall system. In this situation you may be sent a letter from the doctor as a reminder. Please advise reception you have been sent a letter when you call for your appointment.

Please notify reception if you would like to be removed from the recall list.

 
 
Contacting your doctor
 
Occasionally you may need to contact the doctor to give them information. Please call reception or email us at thepractice@miltonclinic.com.au. To contact the doctor urgently please call reception.
 
 
After Hours Care
 

If you require medical attention after hours please call 3369 5133 which will be diverted to the after hours doctor.

These visits may be not bulk billed but membership can be obtained which will result in services being bulk billed. Ask the practice manager for more information or visit www.friendlysociety.com.au
